Life gets so crazy busy this time of year with school starting. Derek started the 2nd Grade. We spent a good portion of our summer doing 2nd Grade Math so Derek could get into the next level Math class when school started. One of the things his school boasts is ability grouping, I've always thought his math has been too easy for him so I took matters into my own hands over the summer and taught him the 2nd Grade Math curriculum AND.... after a little prodding by me (or a lot) to test him again, he was retested, and did phenomenally, and will be put into Third Grade math this year. Wahooo!!! Watch out 2nd Grade here comes Derek! I hope it's a wonderful year for you Derek!
