We just got home from a big long 10 day road trip to see the family. I've got lots of fun pictures and lots to write about, but we are trying to get our life back in order at the same time so it'll probably take me a few entries.
So, the first day we were there we went to the scarecrow festival with Justin and kids and Wendy and family. This place is way better than any any House of Bounce or carnival or farm, because it's all of those things combined! There are like 10 or 15 of the biggest bouncy houses you have ever seen, then there is carnival games, one of those giant bungee trampolines, a magician, pony rides, a haunted house, tractor rides, go cart racing etc... It's a kid paradise! It's all outside in the beautiful fall weather and surroundings at Thanksgiving Point.
...AND that was only half of the fun!!!! After the scarecrow festival we got our Cafe Rio fix and then headed up the canyon to a fantastic Halloween Party courtesy of Grandma. The kids all played outside very nicely for hours and hours while Zac and I sat and talked with the family. After a nice dinner the festivities began. First Zac told the kids a headless pumpkin story while we prepared for the donut eating contest for the kids. After they were done it was the adults turn for the donut eating contest couples style! (Dane took the pictures) Then we had some bobbing for apples, bingo with Grandma and some good ole' pumpkin carving. Sue planned it all around the kids, but I am pretty sure all the adults had just as much fun as the kids did!!

I love that picture of Derek on the slide! Oh, and the couples donut eating contest...is that just an excuse to make out??? Can't you do that in private? Jeez!
We had so much fun seeing you. We really wish you lived closer.
